Apple unleashed the iPhone in June 2007, after years of speculation and rumors. Boasting a full-feature set including a touch screen, a camera, Wi-Fi internet, and of course, a fully-functional installment of the iPod, the iPhone was hailed by many as the product of the year before it was even released.

Could the iPhone live up to its hype? We got our eager hands on one to find out for you. The first thing we noticed when we took it out of its packaging was the design of the iPhone: it is very streamlined and thinner than most phones. Overall, up to par with other Apple products, which are all beautiful, to say the least.

After using the phone for a couple of hours, here are the things that we were impressed with. First off, we found the iPhone very accessible. The menus were logically set up and browsing the phone was intuitive, not to mention fun. The phone’s browser, ‘Safari’, provided the best web surfing experience we’ve yet to witness on a phone. The phone’s display is also noteworthy, providing a very crisp and bright image, at a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels.

My favorite morning coffee is Coffee People K-Cup Extra Bold Donut Shop Coffee.  I am a coffee lover and I have tried almost all brands of coffee.  Nothing can compare to this one.  With just one sip, I knew that this is premium grade coffee.  It has a strong coffee taste but it is not bitter.  There’s tinge of sweetness into it. 

My friend had me try this when we were in college and since then I’m hooked.  It has always been our companions during late nights of examination reviews and thesis writing.  Even if it became cold, it doesn’t lose its taste.  It still tastes rich and strong.  Even if we add a cube of ice or two, the taste lingers. 

If you’re looking for the authentic taste of high quality coffee, I recommend this to you.  The taste can be compared to that of Dunkin Donuts but this is richer and is more aromatic.  Have you tasted coffee that has an aftertaste of sourness?  You will not taste any of that with this coffee.  I love it on its own without any cream or sugar because when I add any of the two, the unique taste tends to get watered down by the two.

This middle grade reader is fantastically full of adventure and fun of a completely different sort. While there is magic and wonder involved, it isn’t like anything published in recent history. The underlying messages are well thought out, while the characters steal the show. Kids aged 8-12 will see themselves as Nate figures out what to do to save the day, and even as he bounces from rooftop to rooftop. Who wouldn’t love to give their teacher fudge in order to make her forget about assigning homework? The writing is, as always, a pleasure to partake of. Brandon Mull is a gifted author who knows how to reach out to his readers even when giving them those important reminders to drink milk and not take candy from strangers. I will anxiously await even more published work from this author, and Shadow Mountain.
